Quote:

- Fans in attendance at Tuesday's SmackDown tapings in London, England report that WWE crew members were trying to get fans to stop chanting "YES!"

- As recent as last week, WWE officials were reportedly considering David Otunga for a run with the United States Title. The plan was to take the belt off Santino Marella after WrestleMania 28 and some within the company are surprised that he hasn't lost it yet. [/quote]Why stop the YES! YES! YES!? It would only mean good things for them. Money, ratings, popularity all thanks to DB. Maybe WWE is afraid DB is gonna be bigger than Cena.

Why otunga? :wall:
I think Otunga has the Charisma to be the U.S. Champ. He may suck in the ring but he sure can talk.

I wish that there's a double turn at extreme rules actually.

As for Otunga, I think let him chase the title for a bit longer. Santino needs more credibility with the belt.

The more they try to get fans to stop, the bigger it will get.

I think the WWE are worried about how sponsers, advertisers and investors look at it.

It is probable that they associate the "Yes" chants with sexual connotations on a PG product. Or they are worried about racial elements because fans chant "Si" when a Hispanic wrestler is in the ring.

I could be wrong, but they have waived the red flag over more harmless things before.

Or, y'know, it's taking heat from Shemus and Brock. A big no-no.
