At one point, WWE officials had been discussing inducting Owen Hart into the 2013 Hall of Fame class as a part of a settlement with Martha Hart.

WWE reached out to Martha about settling her lawsuit against the company and inducting Owen but she turned the offer down. There is a feeling that eventually the lawsuit will be thrown out but that may take some time.

Other names recently discussed for induction include the late "Big Bossman" Ray Traylor, Mick Foley, Bob Backlund and Kevin Nash. Nothing is set in stone and after the first of the year, WWE will be sending out ballots within the company to get suggestions on names to be inducted.[/quote]

This will likely be the weakest HOF class. But I would personally like to see all of the suggested names above go in. But Backlund deserves a lot more fanfare if he does.

I do not understand the logic of using Owen Hart's induction into the HOF as part of the settlement. Ofcourse Martha will not agree to that. Martha does not want the WWE using her husband's image in any way to gain profit. That is the whole point of the lawsuit. If the WWE puts him in the HOF, he will generate more income for the company. Granted, Martha will still get the royalty payments. But she knows that the WWE would profit greatly from his inclusion.

Wake up, WWE.
