Reasons for CONFIRMED WrestleMania XXIX Matches

The reason for the Rock vs John Cena for the WWE Championship is simply because the WWE has been planning it for over a year. There is already a lot of speculation that the match will not do nearly as well as it did last year, but no-one wants to say it out loud to Vince McMahon. Even though the match was only finalised a few weeks ago, the WWE has spent 12 months building towards it. Changing the match in any way could potentially make it look like the WWE questions there own judgement. And they cannot think of any other possible main event that would bring in as much money.

The reason why CM Punk is facing the Undertaker at WrestleMania is because The Undertaker himself requested it. The Undertaker knows that his injuries mean that he will eventually have to quit wrestling for good very soon. At this point, he only wants to face opponents that will guarantee a great match, and will help build a big star. Undertaker has actually objected to his last three opponents (Shawn Michaels and then Triple H twice) because both men were on their way out too. He knew that he could put on great matches with either man, but Undertaker wanted to put over a rising star. Undertaker feels that if he beat CM Punk, it will still elevate Punk's career. And Undertaker is prepared to have Punk end the streak.

Right now, no-one seems to understand the logic behind Triple H vs Brock Lesnar. The Lesnar match was guaranteed as a part of Lesnar's deal with the WWE. But many feel that Brock should have been used to build a star who would be around for the foreseeable future. The general feeling is that the Lesnar rematch is only happening so that Triple H can have a bigger victory over someone who has gone undefeated against him. But even if the WWE pulls a swerve and has Lesnar win this match too, people backstage do not understand this because Lesnar has "ended" Triple H's in-ring career twice in the past year. No-one believes that this will be Triple H's last match.

I have never wanted Undertaker to win so badly.

If it comes to taker losing well then that undefated record was pointless. imo the streak should never be beaten i mean dont have a guy go 20-0 and then lose when he going for his 21st win lol

I love The Streak, but like everything in wrestling it must have it's end. Just ask Lou Thesz.

The time is right.

His streak really is set in stone already. The way WWE is, if he was to loose his streak I expect some sort of in-justice and maybe The Shield involvement which would make it look like Undertaker did not loose his Streak fairly and they would say CM Punk cheated his way to be Undertaker at WM. So in fairness it would seem he did not loose his streak, if that makes sense? lol.

I think it will completely ruin the match. The Shield should not involve in this match.

Nah. That would be horrible.

I can't see 'Taker going out winning. Since his whole gimmick is the "Deadman" I feel loosing his last match would be the best way to go no matter what as he was "Finally" laid to rest.

Never said this is what I want. Just what I "Think" WWE may do. However, I do agree I want a clean finish also. More than likely we will get Undertaker retaining his streak and bowing out next year at WM.
