No more wasting time on splicing backgrounds. Once you're all set up, any background should take less than a minute to replace.
First download one of these. (Contains backgrounds pieced together and my Photoshop "Action Preset")
Rice (Contains most backgrounds)
Jabo1.7 (Contains every background)
In Photoshop open your "actions" folder
Then, drag "NM BG Splicer" into the "actions" box.
Open the background PSD you want to change.
Place your new background ABOVE the very LAST layer.
Select the LAST layer, then select the "NM BG Splicer"
Then press the "play button" until all your layers are replaced.
Here's a GIF to show how it works
Finally, select EVERY LAYER except the solid BG, right click the layers and choose "Quick export as PNG".
It'll ask you where to save it and your done.
Once everything is set up, you should be able to replace any background in less than a minute!
Also, use a PSD as a template to organize a pallet hacked background. Shouldn't take too long seeing as they snap into place if your Photoshop setting are set right.
I tested this with Jabo's Direct3D8 1.7.0.57-ver5
If anyone has an issue with the "Action Preset" let me know and I'll post how to create it yourself.
