<table><tr><td>Russo Removed As Head Writer Of TNA?
According to Wrestlezone.com Vince Russo has reportedly been replaced as the head writer of TNA Wrestling.
Former WWE creative team member Dave Lagana is said to be taking over Russo's duties, effective immediately. Lagana tweeted the following messages on Sunday afternoon:
"And we are off and running... The calm before the storm."
Lagana signed with TNA back in October and most recently has been booking TNA's Ring Ka King Promotion in India.
Lagana is backstage in Orlando for tonight's Against All Odds pay-per-view. Vince Russo is not there.</td><td>
</td></tr></table><table><tr><td>--- Update: According to a top level source in TNA, reports of Dave Lagana replacing Vince Russo as Head of Creative are incorrect.
Nick Paglino of WrestleZone.com has reported this afternoon that Vince Russo has been replaced in TNA with Dave Lagana in the creative structure. The story did not detail how Bruce Prichard, who was recently given the title of Head of Creative, fit into the new structure.
We are currently attempting to clarify what regarding the original report is incorrect, but our source who would know says the story as reported is not true.
We can report from another source that Dave Lagana is in Orlando for tonight's PPV, but Vince Russo is not. That may have led to speculation that Russo was replaced by Lagana.
TDK's Take:
Just another example of how rumor and speculation run wild in the wrestling biz... If it was true I'd probably say something like - at long last the 'end of an error.' But given that it's probably false I'll move on to the real pressing issue...
Can you believe they actually issued a trading card for this guy? What poor little disillusioned kid had to suffer the childhood trauma of trying to trade a Hulk Hogan for a Vince Russo? Have they no shame?
