Ryan Sanders will have home field advantage when he makes his Bellator debut next month from Maine. At Bellator 93, Sanders takes on 10 time kickboxing world champion Michael "Venom" Page.

The decision by Bellator to bring Sanders aboard shocked him as he was preparing for a fight out of a local promotion.

"I've been training really hard for the last three weeks, but now the game has changed because this is definitely a huge opportunity for me," said Sanders to The Bangor Daily News.

Sanders spent 2012 competing for Maine's New England Fights. He went 2-3 and sits on two straight losses. Page also makes his Bellator debut and has three first round finishes last year.

"I'm coming in as the local guy that's being fed to him because they're building him up as the next big thing," said Sanders. "But I thrive in these situations. I love proving people wrong."

Bellator 93 comes from the Androscoggin Bank Colisée in Lewiston, ME on March 21. It will feature the finals of the Season 8 welterweight tournament.[/quote]
