The WWE has reached out to a lot of big name stars to try and get them involved with WrestleMania. They will mainly be used in non-wrestling roles for one night. Every report that listed names so far are merely speculation. But the one thing that can be confirmed is, every really major name over the last 60 years has been contacted.
Rob Van Dam has signed a new deal. He will be returing to the WWE during WrestleMania XXX weekend. This does not mean that he will actually be involved with WM, or any of the events that weekend. Just that he will be around that weekend. He is scheduled to return to television on the Raw immediatly after WMXXX.
His new deal is exactly the same as his current contract, and begins immediatly after this one runs out. He will work 2 blocks of 90 days. During each block, he will be working full-time, making every appearance that WWE wants him to. If, however, the WWE wants him to work extra days outside of the blocks, every single date much be negotiated in advance.
He has only worked 1 of his 2 blocks on the current contract. The current plan is for him to work his 2nd block, which takes him up to the day that his current contract expires. Then the WWE will exercise the first block of his new contract. So essentially, Van Dam will be working 180 straight days.
