Despite the steady decline in ratings, most fans have commented that Raw has been improving in quality in recent months. The same can be said for this week's episode... right until the final segment.

Paige and Divas Champion Charlotte participated in a contract signing for their title match at Survivor Series. But the WWE used it's classic ploy of using a real life death for cheap heat. Paige mocked the death of Reid Flair, the real-life brother of Charlotte, and son of Ric Flair. Reid was under a developmental deal when he died of an accidental overdose two years ago. He was only 25.

The angle left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. Not least of all was Elizabeth Flliehr, the mother of Reid and Charlotte. She called the McMahons, Triple H and the WWE's writers lazy, and called the angle cheap heat, disgusting, disrespectful, cruel and sad. It has presently sparked an online spat between Paige and Lana, with Lana claiming that Paige was a bully at NXT.

But what do you think about the story line?

It was complete uncalled for cheap heat. right up there with Randy saying "Eddie's in hell!" Charlotte knew it was coming, it caused her to awkwardly cry through the entire segment

It sucked. The WWE should know better. You cant blame the talent as they are paid to do this, but surely Charlotte could have disagreed with the mention of Reid in the promo.
