3MD have been repackaged.
The decision was made after they received a strong reaction on the UK Raw last week. Opposed to their usual rock band gimmick, they pretended to be a British rock band called "The Union Jacks". Then on this week's Raw, they claimed to be a country band called 'The Rhinestone Cowboys'. They will continue to use different personas every week to form parodies, much like the bWo in the original ECW.
There was once a hope that 3MB could have become a major stable, but the WWE dropped the ball with them. They were pushed heavily in the beginning before a direction or story line was found for them. The group tried to promote themselves with social media, but their ideas were always shot down by an indecisive creative team. They quickly became enhancement talent simply because no-one could figure out what to do with the group. With Triple H's push to build up the tag team division, 3MB may have a future now.
Some websites incorrectly reported that 3MB would be wrestling as the Union Jacks from now on, despite the fact that Drew McIntyre is the only member from the British Isles. And one of his gimmicks was that he was not British, but Scottish. Also, The Union Jacks is the name of multiple British tag teams over the years. The name is a reference to the British flag, the Union Jack.
Incidentally, 'Rhinestone Cowboys' was a reference to the country song 'Rhinestone Cowboy' by Glen Campbell.
