<table><tr><td>Super Bowl Champ To Appear On Impact?
Fox Sports is reporting that New York Giants star Defensive End Jason Pierre-Paul will be appearing at Monday's Impact taping in Orlando, FL to work an angle with Kurt Angle.
A source told FOXSports.com on Saturday that Pierre-Paul will make an appearance for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling at a Monday night television taping in Orlando, Fla. The segment will air on TNA's Thursday night Impact Wrestling telecast (9 p.m. ET, Spike TV).
Although his NFL contract prohibits him from partaking in too much scripted action because of the risk of injury, Pierre-Paul is expected to have an in-ring confrontation with TNA star Kurt Angle. TNA booked a similar storyline last year involving Angle and New York Jets linebacker Bart Scott, who is an avid pro wrestling fan.</td><td>
</td></tr></table><table><tr><td>TNA also has used NFL players such as Pacman Jones and Frank Wycheck in its wrestling angles.
Pierre-Paul is coming off his best NFL season, earning Pro Bowl honors after notching 16.5 sacks during the regular season. He also played a key defensive role in New York's 21-17 Super Bowl XLVI victory over New England.
TDK's Take:
I'm not usually much of a fan of one-off celebrity appearances, - although I have to say this one is miles ahead of Perez Hilton on Raw - but still, if it helps create a buzz for TNA I guess I can stomach it.
