As I mentioned in my Welcoming post, there's this really beautifully put together fan made game based on the Super Mario Bros series. Basically, someone took every sprite from every mario game on the SNES and put it in a level designer, and then he and other fans made some schweet levels. throw in the level designer so you, the player, can create any thing you want pretty much.

I had nothing at all to do with this, just a fan. It doesn't even need an emu to run. And it's very fun, especially inbetween bouts on No Mercy, also the 2 player mode is fan-freaking-tastic. Can you say "dual screen"?

Oh yesss Mario Madness is back! I am going to download this and ask my son to set this up. Im so excited. I would really like if we could have more Old skool themed games here? Maybe a sonic the hedgehog tournement. I was quite good at that game. Thanx

Ahaha, just be sure to offer to let him play as well! The two player mode is really well done. I heard an online mode is in development for the next release as well. A sonic tournament would be interesting.

No hacking expertise is required,

Although, for all you hackers out there, there is an awesome program known as Lunar Magic that literally allows you to hack the Super Mario World rom for the SNES. Google it if you're interested.

SMBX was designed for easy accessibility however, all that's required is skill for gaming, and imagination for level designing.
