<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Introduction</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">The Alternate Dimension is a Story I cooked up. Every few days I shall post a part of the Story.
Taking my parts as the start post your own version of the Story. (Please don't post badwords or non-sense)</div>
<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Chapter I</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;"><div class='spoiler_toggle'>Part I</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">Once there was a man named Bert. He woke up in an alley. He had no idea who he was, nor could he remember anything about himself. It seemed to be winter. He knew enough to know that he had to get new clothes beside the rags he was dressed in. Suddenly he heard footsteps behind him, and as he turned he saw six shadows behind him. "What'd I do?" he asked in fear. One of the men silently pointed to his neck. He was wearing a necklace that had an emerald on it! Fear lent him wings. He took to his heels and made away! Soon he lost his assilants. "Who am I?" he wondered out loud. "And what's this strange thing I'm wearing?" Again he heard footsteps. This time the men surrounded him and silently closed in...</div>

He stood there, trying not to show any fear. The imposing figures before him, and the cold air around him, made it impossible not to shake. The thoughts ran quickly through his mind, many of them trying to think of a means of escape. Slowly one of the shadowly figures moved closer towards him. He cautiously backed towards the surface behind him. He gently rubbed his fingers, trying to figure out what he was against without alerting the threat to his actions. He was clearly touching stone. He tried to prise of a loose piece with his finger tips so that he may use it as a weapon. But alas, no piece would come loose.
One of his pursuers turned their concentration to the air. He made a noise that others ignored. But when he made the noise once more, the others started looking around too. He didn't know what these strange beings were, but he knew that they were scared too. But what for? As he watched their actions, something became abundantly clear. If these creatures were scared, then there must be a bigger threat coming.</div>
<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Part III</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">Suddenly he realized there wasn't anything around him. He turned to inspect the area around him, which seemed to be mutating. He suddenly turned back only to find the creatures behind him vanished! Several things were racing through his mind at once. A haunting melody seemed to play in his mind, a melody he was familiar with. But could'nt pinpoint it. A blinding white light shone everywhere. Bert screamed in fear! Before the blink of an eye everything went black!
He got up on a wide field. It was about mid-night. A bright Moon shone. But the Moon seemed to glow green. His necklace's light seemed to be recflecting on it. Suddenly he thought he was being watched. Without a moments hesitation he took to his heels. His speed seemed faster than a normal human being. Suddenly one thing became clear to him. He wasn't on Earth.
He jumped to a start and woke up. He was in bed and it was morning now. The Sun's rays seemed to disperse the previous nights nightmare. He heaved a sigh of relief. "It must be all those pizzas I had last night!" he said. Just when everything seemed to be alright, he looked down his neck and saw himself wearing the Emerald Necklace!!!</div>

Then the screeching noise made him bolt upright. There was now a eerie glow on his bedside table. Then he realised this latest attack was non-existant. He picked up his mobile phone and turned the alarm off. It was time to get up. He sat on the edge of the bed and rubbed his eyes with his palms. He took off the necklace and examined it for a moment. He placed it the phone and made his way into the bathroom.
As he showered, it all suddenly made sense to him. One of his collegues was celebrating good news. He was due to become a parent. They had planned to go out and celebrate with him. He had decided not to go because he didn't know his collegue that well. He had obviously changed his mind. He wished he could remember more about the night before, but it was gone from his memory. Which is just as well, because he must have been really drunk to imagine the things that he did. He was thankful that he didn't have the killer hangover he had obviously earned. He laughed at himself as he scrubbed the mud from the bottom of his feet.
He read the news on his smartphone as he ate his cereal. He was careful to keep an eye on the clock, making sure that he was not late for work. He saw the pizza boxes on the counter, and made a mental note to himself to tidy up when he gets back home. Once he had finished eating, he put the phone away, put the bowl into the sink, and left for work...
...and then he went back to the kitchen. The pizza boxes were still there. They were definitely there. But where did they come from? He remembered eating them, but how was this possible? How can he remember eating pizzas at home alone, while he was out partying with his collegues? He had no more time to waste thinking about this, so he left for work.
He went to his job as a computer game designer. Usually at this time of morning, the place stunk of coffee. Everyone walked around in a zombie like state until they had their first cup. But the usual crowd was much smaller than before. Then he heard the boss calling his name. The boss asked him if he could work late today. He explained that much of the staff had went out to celebrate one guy's new baby. However, they had all caught food poisoning from the bar they went to. All of the healthy people had to do extra work in order to make up for the loss. He reluctantly agreed.
As he waited for his computer to boot up, he realised something... he wasn't sick. He was a tired. He was a little shaken up from his dream. But he wasn't sick. If everyone who went out had food poisoning, then, he must not have went with them. He didn't go out. He then noticed the dirt on another collegue's shoe. This reminded him of the mud he washed off his feet that morning. If he didn't go out, how did the mud get onto his bare feet? He was running on his bare feet away from the shadowy figures in his dream. But his dream was just that; a dream. Wasn't it?</div>
<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Part V</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">Now he felt confused. "Was I there, or wasn't I?" were his thoughts that whole day.
LATER- It was time to go home after his exhausting day. He went home to his huge mansion, and ordered a nice hot bath. At dinner time his wife suddenly said "Hey, Bertie while you were at work, someone was here to visit you." "Did he say who he was, or why was he here?" he asked in suspicion knowing that his wife could easily identify all of his friends or colleagues. "I don't know." she said, he just kept on saying "Isn't Bert here yet?" and kept asking suspicious questions. I didn't answer him properly because he didn't want to reveal his identity." "How did he look?" asked Bert. "I don't know properly she said. "He was wearing a hood and kept his head lowered most of the time." "Then why the hell did you let him in?" Bert shouted! "I didn't!" she replied. "The butler asked him in." "It would be rude to ask him to leave then." Suddenly a Bad thought crossed Bert's mind, and a shiver ran down his spine. 'The Key to yesterday night!'
He took off at top speed upstairs, and pulled open a drawer in his room. With shvering hands he rifled through it. His wife came up and asked him what was wrong.
"I knew it!" "I knew it!!" he exclaimed. "You knew what?" she asked, her face a picture of puzzlement. "What happened?!" He looked at her with a pale and grave face. "It's gone." he wispered, hardly believeing himself. "The Emerald Necklace is gone!!!" </div></div>
