The relationship between The Rock and John Cena in a backstage is not very good, according to sources. The two talk a lot in the wings, but is a tension between the two.

Problems of Rock and Cena began to appear at the Survivor Series PPV and the WWE employee who has worked with both said:

"The Rock and Cena aren't good friends. They often contradicted. They have totally different personalities and it shows in backstage, but are willing to leave their personal issues aside and focus on what is best for the company."

Hmmm. I don't know, this maybe just a work. Whatever it is, it has people talking. More so than HHH vs Taker.

Undertaker and HHH have mutual respect for each other and are WWE royality. Cena for sure is up there with them and so The Rock, but I do sense genuine jealously, bitterness between Rock & Cena. When Rocky went off for fame in Hollywood Cena was being prepped as his replacement of sorts. Cena in his defence has been busting his ass for the company for a good 9 years and done so much work for charities and the WWE. He is there poster boy. While The Rock has come and gone, come and gone. His movie career has been pretty good for a wrestler, while Cena's films have bombed in the box office. I dont think Rock see's Cena as a threat for movie roles, or even Wrestling.

They just like each other, simple as that!!

There is genuine heat between them. But not as much as the WWE wants us to believe.

If we "Internet fans" think that there is genuine tension between them, then we will suspect that one (or both) will act unprofessionally at WrestleMania. And then we will want to see the match.

I have said it before, they have been promoting this match for a year, and the WWE have left it far too late to give us any reasons to watch it. Face vs Face matches rarely work.

Hollywood Hogan vs the Rock was heel versus face. Hogan was playing villian. So my point that they rarely (I didn't say never) work remains valid.

I know Hogan was playing the villian..... but not that hard. :) Everyone going into that feud knew what was up. Even if he had been booked a face, same result.

Honestly, there just isn't enough examples of face vs face at a major PPV to really decide, anymore. I can't think of too many WWE ppv matches to draw examples from.

In the old days, it was a golden rule. Today, not so much, I think. Then again, they hardly ever try it.

Also, my point about it happening at Wrestlemania is still valid. :D

John Cena versus Shawn Micheals may have been Micheal's ONLY poor WrestleMania match. Both men worked babyface.

.... Chris Jericho liked that match. :$ I personally never saw it.

Also, WMIX's main event sucked.

Yeah, but Jericho has a habit of talking for the sake of talking. Even if it is just on Twitter and he can't hear his own voice. So if Jericho says he liked it, it is possible that Jericho never even saw it.

And yes, that match sucked. Hogan and Beefcake lost to Money, Inc. in a 20 minute match, and Yokozuna beats Bret Hart in 10. But Hogan pulverised Yokozuna in just 1. Way to bury both Hart and Yokozuna.

Shit, I meant WM 11....... oi. I'm dumb.

Concerning Jericho, I only know that because I have his three DVD set, where he said that match, and the Raw match the next day were some of the main reasons he ever came back.

I had to look it up. I keep thinking that the main event was Nash vs Michaels. But I forgot that THAT match was the main event!

Yeah....... I'm sorry I ever brought it up. Let's at least give Bam Bam props for being a professional about it.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't he the guy that once had a tag team match at WM? Bigelow & Luna Vachon vs Doink & Dink.

I couldn't tell you, to be honest. I have a mental healing factor, that will not allow me to remember anything Doink has ever done.
