Thor : The Dark World MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS

Before the movie :

Not much to say here, i've watched comic book movies for years (like a lot of you i guess) so when i hear about a new one i go watch it. This review won't make a comparison if it's accurate to the comic books because i've never read any of it.

Movie Plot :

A long time ago, Bor, Odin's father, won a war against the Dark Elves, their leader, Malekith created a powerful force named the Aether which was imprisoned in a stone column. Malekith and his surviving men retreated swearing to take revenge. Nowadays, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), Darcy and their assistant are in London and go to a warehouse where the law of physics are turning weird, Jane is sucked to where the Aether is stored and it gets into her. The Dark Elves, aware of that, will try to take her, Jane becomes a threat to the nine realms, to help her and beat the Dark Elves, Thor will have to request Loki's help, but can he trust his brother after all his betrayals ?

My impressions :

+ Asgardians seem more involved into the action
+ On Earth the action takes place in London, for once a big american movie aknowledge another place than USA and that is nice
+ The balance between the serious story and the humorous scenes is great, there are some funny scenes without making the movie too goofy
+ The last scene

- Useless 3d, go watch the movie in 2d
- Jane Foster's character. The wharehouse where she is sucked to the Aether was found by 3 children, she is there with them, Darcy, and their assistant, i would have prefered Darcy to be the one into it because Thor's girlfriend being the poor damsel in distress is too predictable
- Thor/Jane romance. I know i always point a romance in my bad things but i always have that feeling that when they where writing they think "give'em romance, bitches like romance in movies" either that or i'm frustrated to be single and can't stand love stories. Same thing applies to Darcy.
- Fandral (the pussy asgardian) and Volstagg (the bearded, axe swinging asgardian) talking during a fight felt like a shameless Legolas/Gimli rip-off

To conclude, this is a good movie, action and humor are there, Asgard is a pleasure to the eyes and you spend a nice moment watching it.
