TMZ are said to be unsure about how to handle news that the receive about current or former WWE stars.
In November, they refused to cover a report about a domestic incident between former stars John Morrison and Melina. Since then, there has been no police report, suggesting that the story was false. It is not known if this was the reason why it was not reported, or because Morrison and Melina were not famous enough.
They are also desperate for people to believe that John Cena is in a genuine relationship with Brie Bella. Earlier this year, the WWE ran a story line pretending that Triple H had retired from in-ring competition after having his shoulder broken for a second time by Brock Lesnar. While the injury was obviously fake, Triple allowed himself to be photographed with a major hair cut days later. TMZ reported that the haircut meant that Triple H was legitimately retired, which is something the WWE wanted the public to believe. TMZ does not want to believe that the WWE manipulated them once more.
