Hulk Hogan is scheduled to make appearances at various TNA events throughout the rest of this year, confirming that he has signed a new contract.

Hogan's original contract started in October 2009, even though he did not start working for the company until the beginning of 2010. The contract was for two years, but had a stipulation in which TNA President Dixie Carter could extend the contract for one more year if she chose to. Now that Hogan is still working for TNA now that the extension period has expired, he is either working as a free agent, or under a new contract.

The revelation is said to have lowered morale in the TNA locker room. Wrestlers are upset that so much money is being spent on keeping Hogan around, especially after so many active wrestlers were released to save money.

Hogan remains the highest paid employee on the pay roll. Another stipulation is that he must be paid at least 10% more than the second highest paid performer than any show or public event that he appears at. With so many stars on maximum date contracts, including Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy, this often results in Hogan receiving major bonuses most weeks.

And people wonder why so many wrestling fans are not tuning in as much, nor buying PPV's and attending live shows. I think Dixie needs to take a hard look in the mirror and start to wake up and realise that Hogan is not the answer. This company will never be able to stand on its own while guys like Hogan, RVD, Hardy are running the show. We all know TNA is the place where golden oldies go to get one final payday.. Oh wait, sounds familiar? WCW.
