Several websites are reporting that Mickie James and Christy Hemme are on their way out of the company soon as "cost cutting measures". But this is not the case.
The rumour regarding Mickie is that her contract expires next month, and she will not get a new one unless she agrees to a significant pay cut. Mickie's present deal actually has at least 1 full year on it. Now that Tara, Madison Rayne and Brooke Hogan are gone, this leaves Mickie as the only high-earner left. While it is possible that TNA may still release her to save money, her job likely remains safe. Mickie uses a lot of her non-wrestling appearances to promote TNA. It is also believed that if Mickie leaves, she and her boyfriend Magnus would jump to WWE. This would be particularly embarrassing for the company if Tara rejoins WWE soon too.
Hemme had spent years in TNA as the highest paid knockout, despite not wrestling much (or at all in some years). But this has not been the case in some time, and Hemme has been claiming a much lower wage. If TNA chose to lose her, they would not be saving much.
