Ring Of Honor star "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett has been in talks with WWE recently. There is no word yet if the WWE is interested in bringing him in as a potential superstar.
Bennett made headlines early this year when he started bringing his girlfriend, ex-WWE Diva Maria Kanellis, to the ring during his matches on the independent circuit. Kanellis has been very negative when talking about the WWE since leaving in 2010, but the WWE are still very keen to have her back. It is possible that the WWE may have tried to reach Kanellis through Bennett, but any deal that Bennett accepts will have nothing to do with her.
Maria also announced on Twitter that she is now engaged to Bennett. She also posted a photo of the engagement ring he presented her with.
Maria insists that she has kept away from professional wrestling since leaving the WWE. But this is contradicted by her jobs as a wrestling coloumist, wrestling analyst, valet and even part time wrestler. She is currently the creative director of Crossfire Wrestling in Nashville, TN.
