At this time, Goldberg and Hulk Hogan will not be appearing at WrestleMania XXX. The main issue in both cases is money.
Goldberg openly admits that he has been in talks with the WWE, and Triple H continues to call him. But there are no negotiations as Goldberg refuses to negotiate. He has set them an undisclosed fee, which a WWE spokesperson deemed “unrealisticâ€. Goldberg refuses to return for any amount lower than he had asked for. Goldberg added that the WWE told him to “think of the pop he would getâ€, but adds that they are “barking up the wrong tree with that tacticâ€. It should also be noted that Goldberg insists that he is top physical condition, but refuses to do any medical testing. That means that the WWE has no idea whether or not Goldberg could be ready to work a match in time. This makes it harder to justify Goldberg’s fee.
Hulk Hogan is still pleading with WWE to put him in a match at WM XXX. However, Hogan continues to ask for a major fee as well as a main-event spot. The WWE are not really interested in using him because they feel that fans are not as interested in Hogan. Hogan keeps pitching major ideas involving himself, but the WWE does not believe he could bring in the money that Hogan insists that he can. Also, Hogan’s health has been made very public, so both fans and the WWE know what his current condition is.
It is being reported that the WWE did consider one idea seriously. At one point, a tag team match with Hogan and John Cena had been talked about. There is no mention who their opponents would have been. Either way, Hogan would have had to put Cena over. This was far from the top idea for Cena at the event.
