WCW nWo Revenge texture problems

I've been trying to play the save made by Zomb13 for this game. I'm using PJ1.6 with the Rice Video plugins, and at first things work well. All the graphics load up, but once I go into the game the graphics start to flicker and disappear. Things get real slow and take their sweet time to load. I can't even play it. I don't want to go to PJ64 2.1 and re-texture the whole game myself, any ideas on what I can do to make this work on 1.6?

Doesn't 1.6 plugins work on 2.1?
Or at least Rice.

Maybe try open gl sometimes it works not sure about win8

I'm gonna see if I can get the 1.6 plugins to work on 2.1. I tried it earlier today but I just got a black screen. I could hear the music, but couldn't see anything.
