Fans have noticed that both Christian and Layla have not been used by WWE in a while.
Christian reportedly suffered a concussion in a match against Alberto Del Rio a few days after SummerSlam. The official word is that Christian has not been medically cleared to return, despite being physically involved with helping rookies at the WWE Performance Centre. Some of his supporters within the company are speculating that there is another reason for his absence. Either way, it is hoped that he will return to the ring in December. The storyline reason for Christian’s absence is that he was injured in an assault by The Shield, ordered by Chief Operating Officer Triple H.
Layla has been out of action for a while, leading to a lot of rumours about her status. Her followers on Twitter were also concerned as she did not log into the site for a full month. All of the more popular rumours can be confirmed as untrue, although there is still no known reason as to why she has not been around. The WWE has already confirmed that she is not injured and that she is still under contract.
