Wade Barrett is currently in England awaiting a new passport being issued. He was given a whole month off to return home and renew his work visas, a process that he had to complete from his home country. Barrett thought it would take a few days, but the WWE correctly predicted that it would take much longer. This was because Alberto Del Rio and Drew McIntyre both had delays dealing with their visas earlier this year. Barrett has his visas in order now, but had to wait for them to be completed before he could renew his passport.
Kane will be returning to action fairly soon. He has been out of action due to the filming of 'See No Evil 2'. The process was said to be slower than expected. At one point, there was a plan to have Kane return to fight Bray Wyatt in a Hell In A Cell match at the next pay-per-view. But due to post-production and publicity work, the WWE will not want to commit to any big plans for him before Survivor Series. Which is just as well, as Bray Wyatt is currently injured. His current feud with the Miz will now continue through to Survivor Series.
AJ Lee noted on Twitter that she has already had a match. This means that she has been medically cleared to return to action. She had been dealing with a concussion after a bad spot during her match at Battleground.
Rey Mysterio is still not medically cleared to return as yet. He will be a part of the WWE's tour of Mexico, but will not have any matches. He is trying to convince the WWE to let him back in the ring as soon as possible, but they are not taking any chances.
Ric Flair has just finished a stint in a rehab programme. There was speculation that he would be signing with WWE for almost a year now, but obstacles keep getting in the way. Flair was told that he would not be offered any contracts unless he completed the rehab program (at the WWE's own expence) and passed a Wellness Policy examination. After hearing about the conditions, Flair told close friends that he would not be doing it, but he obviously has.
It is suggested that Flair was asked to go into rehab because of how he was using alcohol to help get over his son's death. Reid Flair died of a drug overdose earlier this year at the age of 25. This decision may not have anything to do with the WWE 2K14 press conference in August. WWE Management are still unhappy with Flair "taking over" the event. As previously reported, Hall of Famer Jim Ross was eventually fired over Flair's actions.
