WWE Responds To CM Punk's Homophobic Slur

TMZ notes that WWE is working with GLAAD and produced a series of anti-bullying commercials following incidents involving Michael Cole and John Cena. The website adds that calls to WWE and GLAAD regarding Punk's promo were not returned.

UPDATE: A rep for WWE said, "WWE does not condone this type of language or bias and we reinforce that with our talent who are independent contractors."

There really isn't much they can do anyways with Punk likely leaving WWE in a few weeks.[/quote]

Looks like Punk is gonna leave WWE with alot of heat on him!! He seems to really have no love last with WWE his behaviour regarding this homophobic attack was unprofessinal and tasteless. Still, gotta love Punk!!. Im sure any passion, love he had for WWE has gone and a "?" mark over his possible WWE return in the future.

I honestly don't think meant it as a "I hate gay people" comment, but more of a "watch me piss off these two morons in the front row" comment.

If someone goes to a wrestling show, expect to get yelled at by the ones they hate & things said they may not like. It's what they do for god sakes, people need to lighten the fuck up.

Not everything is hate speech and everything said is not meant that way.

In my eyes there is no black, white, gay, straight or w/e people are people & should act like it.
