WWE.com has compiled a list of the "best" celebrities to ever be in the WWE.
For the most part, much of this list are people who served as Interim General Manager / Guest Host on Raw.
25. Ashton Kutcher - The actor engaged in a twitter feud with Zack Ryder, revealing that he had put a hit out on the 'Long Island Iced Z'. When Ryder challenged Kutcher, Ryder's girlfriend Alicia Fox attacked him, revealing herself to be Kutcher's accomplice.
24. Dennis Miller - Miller presented a Slammy Award in December 2009.
23. Jeremy Piven & Ken Jeong - Actors Piven & Jeong hosted one episode of Raw, mocking several heels. When Piven kept talking about the upcoming "SummerFest" pay-per-view, the live audience turned on them. The actors then turned heel and aligned themselves with Randy Orton. They interfered in the main event, but were bested by John Cena.
22. Jerry Springer - During his night as guest host, Springer recreated his infamous chat show in the ring. After multiple mid-carders made a series of shocking revelations, Springer walked out. Jerry Lawler admitted that the locker room were playing a prank. But the worst part was when Mae Young forced herself upon the TV veteran.
21. Cedric the Entertainer - When the comedian hosted Raw, he openly made fun of second and third generation wrestlers. Third generation wrestler Chavo Guerrero challenged him to a match. After facing multiple "body doubles", Guerrero failed to beat Cedric.
20. Pete Rose - Baseball legend Pete Rose insulted the fans during WrestleMania 14. This resulted in him being attacked by Kane. Rose would attack Kane at the next 2 WrestleManias, but lost out on both encounters. Rose would host Raw and booked Kane in a match against Shawn Michaels. But Kane would get the upper hand. Rose is in the WWE Hall of Fame.
19. Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne - The duo co-hosted an episode of Raw which centered around Sharon, opposed to her megastar husband. Sharon got into verbal spats with multiple heels before judging an 'America's Got Talent' type show.
18. The cast of "MacGruber" - The lead actors from this movie appeared in character, but still used their real names. Forte engaged in a feud with Vladimir Kozlov, which somehow lead to Forte "exploding" R-Truth. Ryan Phillipe and Khali then chased Kozlov out of the arena.
17. David Hasselhoff - The veteran TV actor and singer hosted Raw, making numerous references to his main TV shows, Baywatch and Knight Rider.
16. Seth Green - The lifelong wrestling fan was the first guest host on Raw. He booked himself in the main event, teaming with John Cena and Triple H. While he lacked experience, he had the wherewithal of a tag team enthusiast.
15. The cast of "The A-Team" - Three of the main actors from A-Team co-hosted Raw. After Jerry Lawler's crown went missing, they searched for it. They discovered that a band of wrestling heels from the past, including Irwin R. Schyster, had stolen it. A brawl featuring more legends ended the mission.
14. Pittsburg Stealers - The 2010 Superbowl Champions co-hosted Raw. When quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was challenged by Big Show and Jericho, the entire offensive line-up assisted DX in beating them down.
13. Maria Menounos & Nancy O'Dell - Menunos and O'Dell co-hosted Raw, and changed the format considerably. Menounos even competed in a match. She would later start a Twitter feud with Beth Phoenix, ending in a tag match at WrestleMania 28.
12. Mark Cuban - The Dallas Maverick's manager was RKOed by Orton at Survivor Series in 2003. Years later, Cuban hosted an episode of Raw. During the show, he was determined to enforce the rules, and not allow Orton to have an unfair advantage.
11. Hugh Jackman - The veteran hollywood actor hosted Raw as a huge Zack Ryder fan. Jackman punched Dolph Ziggler, allowing Ryder to get an easy win over the US champion. Jackman would later appear in a cameo on 'Z! True Long Island Story'. Ziggler claimed on Twitter that Jackman had broken his jaw.
10. The Muppets - It was a clear publicity stunt announcing the Muppet's re-launch. Disney had received much criticism for relaunching successful franchises and making them worse than before. When the muppets hosted Raw, it lead to one of the most comedic and skit-heavy episodes of Raw in recent years. And arguably, one of the best.
9. Shaquille O'Neal - The 7' tall basketball legend has been linked with professional wrestling for the entirety of his professional NBA career... even though he has rarely been involved with the industry. Much of that time, fans disputed the WWE's claim that Big Show was the world's largest athlete, insisting that the honour belonged to O'Neal. O'Neal sat in the audience at many WWE shows and pay-per-views, with fans calling for him to step into the ring. His only appearance in the ring was as a guest host of Raw, where he revealed his friendship with JTG and Shad.
8. Pee-Wee Herman - When WWE announced that Paul Reuban would be resurrecting his famous character to host Raw, it spawned a lot of controversy and complaints. But those complaints weren't from WWE fans. During a time period when viewership was very low, this particular episode picked up significant numbers. And even though Herman did not have much of a role on the show, he was one of the most popular hosts to date.
7. Snooki - Snooki took part in possibly the second least anticipated WrestleMania matches in history. At the 27th installment, Snooki, Trish Stratus and John Morrison battled Michelle McCool, Layla and Dolph Ziggler. Snooki was famous for getting completely drunk and acting slutty on 'Jersey Shore'. Snooki was clearly out of shape and was not even tall enough to look over the top ring rope. But fans boos turned to cheers when she performed an expertly performed Handspring Elbow and Standing Moonsault to finish the match. Sadly, her appearance was overshadowed by a poorly anticipated match and Morrison "snubbing" Stratus.
6. William Shatner - The Star Wars actor first appeared in 1995 during a 'King's Court' segment with Jerry Lawler. Their clearly-choreographed fight did not look so good, but yet is remembered very fondly by older fans. Shatner would later induct Lawler into the WWE Hall of Fame. Shatner co-hosted Raw for one night, and recorded spoken word versions of several WWE themes.
5. Floyd Mayweather - Possibly one of the least co-operative celebrities in WWE history. The welterweight boxer refused to stick to the script for any of his appearances. He kept trying to prove his genuine toughness, knowing that any wrestler he was in the ring with would be too professional to stand up to him. He irritated fans, causing them to cheer for his heel rival, Big Show. The pair featured in a gimmick match at WrestleMania XXVI. He would host half of a later episode of Raw. His appearance was compromised when he was arrested for a traffic offense just hours before the broadcast went live.
4. Bob Barker - The veteran TV host combined an episode of Raw with his famous 'The Price is Right' quiz show. It sounded like a good idea on paper... and was a great idea in reality.
3. Kevin Federline - The rapper shot to fame by marrying Britney Spears. For weeks, Johnny Nitro and Melina teased that K-Fed was coming to beat fellow wannabe rapper John Cena. Federline strutted around the ring for much of the match, and only attempted a full nelson at one point. An interverance from Umaga lead to Federline offering Cena his first defeat of 2007. Rumour has it that when Spears saw the footage, she found it to be hilarious. Federline was furious at his wife's reaction, and went ballistic. This would lead to Spears filing for divorce.
2. Mike Tyson - Former heavyweight boxing champion famously feuded with Steve Austin leading into WrestleMania XIV. He joined DeGeneration-X, clearly supporting the stable's leader Shawn Michaels. But Tyson eventually encouraged Austin to victory, and turned on Michaels by knocking him out. Tyson would later host a show in late 2010 where he promised to continue his feud with DX. But like before, Tyson showed that he was playing "double-agent", and turned against Chris Jericho, who he claimed to be supporting. Tyson revealed that he was a member of DX once more. DX would induct Tyson into the WWE Hall of Fame.
1. Donald Trump - The Billionaire is real-life friends with Mr. McMahon. The duo engaged in a bizarre feud leading into WrestleMania 25. After Trump was insulted by Rosie O'Donnell, McMahon booked a match for them on Raw. But Trump and O'Donnell were represented by look-a-likes. Trump criticised the match and the McMahon's judgment. So McMahon challenged Trump to find any wrestler who could compete against Umaga. McMahon believed he had all of the best WWE superstars under his employ. But Trump sponsored WWE Superstar Bobby Lashley. Lashley beat Umaga, and Mr. McMahon faced the forfeit of having to shave his head. For unknown reasons, McMahon sold Raw to Trump, who then hosted a 3-hour special without commercials. McMahon was furious with the concept and bought Raw back. But McMahon was inspired to continue using guest hosts on Raw.
For the most part, much of this list are people who served as Interim General Manager / Guest Host on Raw.
