In a bid to push some of their younger stars, WWE.com has posted a new article promoting them.

Ryback

Ryback originally debuted on Raw as Skip Sheffield. He did one promo before being dropped. He returned on the first season of NXT where he won only 1 match before being officially eliminated first. He would debut as a member of Nexus, but an injury would sideline him for over a year. He was not officially removed from the stable. He returned earlier this year as Ryback. To date, Ryback has been squashing unsigned wrestlers and former Nexus teammates.

Antonio Cesaro

Cesaro is better known as Claudio Castagnoli, one half of the Kings of Wrestling tag team in Ring of Honor. But he underwent a complete character change when he joined WWE. Cesaro is a former rugby player from Switzerland (where rugby is not really a popular sport). He has been using his natural athleticism and strength to win matches. Although, most of his Opponents have been a lot smaller and quite inexperienced.

Darren Young & Titus O'Neal

Young debuted on season 1 of NXT, and barely avoided being eliminated first. He would join the Nexus and would quickly become the first person kicked out of the group. After failing to make an impact as a solo star, Young returned to NXT, where the competition was built around him and O'Neal.

O'Neal was presented as the powerhouse of NXT season 2. He is famous for repeatedly botching his own promos and no selling one of MVP's trademark moves. He was the first to be eliminated. He would return at NXT Redemption where he primarily feuded with Young.

When NXT was officially relaunched as a brand, Young & O'Neal were repackaged as a tag team. Unlike most of the others on this list, they have won against established stars.

Brodus Clay

Clay used to be the real-life bodyguard for several members of the music industry, including Snoop Dogg. He was originally supposed to be the main heel on NXT season 4, but the incompetence of the other people on the show only endeared Clay to the fans. After placing second, he would be the first one of the six contestants contestants to debut as a WWE Superstar. He has a short spell as Alberto Del Rio's personal bodyguard before he was sideline with an injury.

His return was heavily hyped as the return of a dominating monster. But instead, he returned with with the Funkasaurus gimmick. He later claimed that he used to be angry and aggressive all the time because he was forced to be in the shadow of more famous individuals. But now that the spotlight is finally on him, he has no reason to be angry anymore.

But he is very dominant. Like Ryback, he is on an undefeated streak. But a major difference is that most of Clay's opponents have been upper mid-carders or main-eventers.

Maxine

In spite of her talents in FCW, Maxine still comes across as a rookie on WWE television. She appeared in the third season of NXT as the main heel. Throughout the season, Maxine publicly blamed her fellow contestants for botches that she herself had made. In addition to being sloppy in the ring, she has put little effort into her acting. A complete contrast from her FCW performances. But then again, her WWE Pro was Alicia Fox! ^o)

As the WWE continues to lose veteran Divas, the WWE is keen to present Maxine as the Torrie Wilson of this generation. So far, she has been received with mixed results. Why? Because she sometimes does not look that special compared to other divas... and then other times, she can look hotter than any of them!

Damian Sandow

Sandow was touted to appear on NXT multiple times, but he was always held back so he could add more legitimacy to later series. When NXT became a brand, Sandow was given the honour of NOT having to be on NXT.

Unlike most Superstars of recent years, Sandow is being portrayed as a heavily intellectual wrestler. He wants to win by outsmarting his opponents. But he could be in serious trouble if he steps into the ring with a veteran like William Regal, or with a dominant powerhouse like Kane.
