<big>WWF Monday Night Raw</big>

Current Version: v0.0
Release Status: v0.0 Interface Preview
Emulator: Project64 v1.6
Compatibility: WWF No Mercy (U) [!]

An attempt to recreate the world of WWF 1993 with WWF No Mercy, Named after the flagship wrestling show that started in January 1993. This is my first project involving WWF No Mercy, and I'm expecting progress to be slow as I'm learning while doing this.

<big>Progress</big>
At the moment I am currently editing all the interface stuff before starting with the wrestlers; a lot of the interface stuff is already done still got some tweaks to do but overall I am happy enough. Will be doing some research gathering before deciding on and taking the next step.

<big>Credits</big>
To all those that have been before me, especially those that have shared their knowledge.
Codes: WldFb, CM, Viva La Pest, Kane Tombstone, dnewgrounds

This looks awesome! I've been watching the 1993 Raw episodes on the Network and wishing there was a mod for that era.

I'm a little confused about some of the roster, though:
-Why is Giant Gonzalez in the jobbers section? He was booked as a top guy who was a difficult opponent for The Undertaker. Virgil or 1-2-3 Kid would be more appropriate for the jobbers section.
-Mr. Hughes wasn't a manager until the late 90's. In his '93 run, he was a wrestler exclusively.
-Where is Yokozuna?
-No Adam Bomb or Bastion Booger? Granted, they're not as important as Yokozuna, but I know that movesets exist for Adam Bomb/Bryan Clark, so it wouldn't be too hard to create him.
-Some of the managers from that era are missing (Harvey Whippleman, Johnny Polo, Jim Cornette, Luna Vachon, and Afa). Luna's face is in No Mercy, as is Johnny Polo's.

If you wanted to include any "true" jobbers, I know Scotty 2 Hotty wrestled back then (as Scott Taylor), and Justin Credible/Aldo Montoya wrestled as "P.J. Walker".

Thank you all for your replies, so much support was not expected at the time being.

Regarding the issues with the roster that was brought up, I have two different text files [one .txt with a list of names that I remember and one in Office with a table to show me what slots are available in game] and for some reason I pasted in the .outdated .txt file. I am still trying to add in more people on the list but need to figure out a way to organize the people to the slots available. Like the table on the first post says, at the moment it is just a planned roster which will no doubt change as I figure more stuff out. Regarding enhancement talent, it is something that I want to add but I think hitting the main roster is a big enough task for the time being. No doubt once I start hitting some development goals I will add in more stretch goals to the list.

Today's progress was all little interface stuff, nearly 3 hours for designing and tweaking the spirit meter and in-match name plates. Spent some time on designing a template for the portraits as well, but that is something I will leave till after the wrestler textures have progress as I plan to use the models as portraits. Additionally I replaced some of the text and numbers I found while testing the Spirit Meters [such as the time clock, and where it says to pin and fight for example].

-For Yokozuna, I don't know if you've seen this code someone posted a few months ago that lets you use the "wide wrestler" code for one specific person.

-Enhancement talent could always just be done with CAWs. I have actually partially created a Barry Horowitz CAW.

-I guess sound is probably harder to hack, but I think it would be funny to hear the "Count Two" sound replaced with Vince saying "He got him!...No, he didn't".

-For the guys on the roster, I'm aware of existing movesets having been created for at least the following people:
Bart Gunn
Ludvig Borga
Mo
Marty Janetty
Tatanka
Virgil
Adam Bomb
Samu
Brutus Beefcake
Doink
Crush
IRS
Jeff Jarrett
Jim Duggan
Diesel
Luna
Owen
The Steiners
Ted Dibiase
Yokozuna
Lex Luger
Bam Bam
Hulk Hogan
Mr. Perfect
Savage
Razor
Backlund

Additionally, I have been writing down moves for other guys as I've been watching their matches on the Network.

I have indeed seen the Yokozuna body code will have to see it in action at some point, but it definitely looks awesome. I have spent a few hours looking at WldFb Archive forum just looking around and seeing lots of awesome stuff, just like this forum.

I was thinking the same with the enhancement talent, but like I said before I want to leave that decision till later.

I think your notes on the moves people have been using would be a fantastic resource for everyone to use for reference material if you would be kind enough to share.

I will be going for a more AKI style as it will allow me more creative freedom.

Another day another bit of progress towards the interface, decided to work on the tournament screen... next on my list is the custom event screen and then onto some of the other menus.

Thanks Keson, I had not noticed those resources... tbf I still need to get around to checking out that board

Another early morning post, more progress I have made...

I didn't like the background for the Tournament screen and I've been scribbling different ways to utilize the background's tiling to an advantage rather than try to hide it, still not happy with it but I made another iteration.

Made a start on the Live Events screen, and yes the pixelation is meant to be there as the only source images for the Events Center I came across are all poor quality. I will need to find a way of getting rid of those faded black lines, I'm assuming its a texture but I haven't located it yet another day I will do a full dump on the textures and see what I can find.

I also did some more work on the in-match interface stuff, gotta get around to the pause menu at some point... maybe that'll be next... that and the Smackdown Mall menus

Another resource for old movesets I had forgotten is this one.

I used it when creating a Mr. Hughes moveset. I actually had already watched and documented a lot of Hughes's moves, so I changed everything in it I didn't agree with to create the following moveset:

Some notes about this moveset:
-I gave him a Front Powerslam even though the real move is more like a Scoop Slam because he already had enough weak grapple A moves.
-I have also seen him do at least two other weak grapple A moves that I didn't include: the European Uppercut (done in WCW when he wrestled as "Big Cat") and a Knee Strike/Knee Lift (done in his KOTR match against Mr. Perfect)
-He did the following move in many, if not most, of his matches: Club to Neck, Front Powerslam (or Scoop Slam), Punch 05, running Shoulder Block, Elbow Drop 01, Stomp 02, Big Boot, Powerslam 01, Bossman Slam, Headbutt 03
-Here are examples of where I've seen other moves of his:
Snapmare: KOTR match vs. Mr. Perfect
Knee Strike: KOTR match vs. Mr. Perfect
Eye Rake: KOTR match vs. Mr. Perfect
Rib Breaker: WCW match (as Big Cat) vs. Brad Armstrong
Bearhug: WCW match (as Big Cat) vs. Brad Armstrong
   Snap Powerbomb 02: May 31, 1993 Raw
Chokeslam 01/02: ECW match vs. 911
Forearm Smash: WCW match (as Big Cat) vs. Brad Armstrong
Spinning Torture Rack: This was his finisher in WCW
Body Punch: WCW match (as Big Cat) vs. Brad Armstrong
Front Kick 01: ECW match vs. 911
   Standing Clothesline 01: June 21, 1993 Raw
   Dropkick 02: June 21, 1993 Raw
Low Blow: ECW match vs. 911
Monkey Toss: May 31, 1993 Raw
Taunt 46: after match on May 31, 1993
-I can't verify any of the other moves
-The fighting style and parameters were based more on my own personal opinions from watching his matches than on the existing CAW from the linked site. I made him a novice for submissions, even though he had used the torture rack as his main finisher in his pre-WWF days, since I wanted to make sure his WWF finisher, the Bossman Slam, was his strongest move.
