This has got nothing to discourage you..
You see,you just started modding.Instead of getting more experience by making mods,you started with a patch which is not a good way to get experienced.I'm 9 years into modding now but i still haven't made a patch.So take this as an advice.Nice beginning on ryback.You need to add texture to the body textures.

I don't think that a person should be experienced before starting a patch,I have learned a lot of new things and i have gained experience since i have started this patch.I started this patch because i wanted to do something different ,nobody till now has made a patch for HCTP.i know that a lot of people wanted to see a HCTP patch and i'am trying my best to give them a good patch for HCTP.

I think what he means is that it's a massive undertaking, and the word poor was used to describe the base and was not something at your expense. The reason why he's posting this is that you have several things that need work but instead of showing progress of fixing them, you start a new character.

If you want my advice, don't begin work on any more and work on the ones you have. That way, more people can back you up when they see the quality of your work

You're a nice dude, so I don't think anyone is going out of their way to offend you or anything like that.
