Hey guys, it's Tom here with a new tutorial about importing into the bottom of your CH.PAC file in SvR2006 PS2/PSP.
Things you need:
SvR2006 ISO
An ISO Extractor/rebuilder (I am using PSP Version, so I will use UMDGEN)
Hex Editor (I use HXD)
And A Hex Calculator
To start things off,
You need to extract your CH*.PAC File and you need your pac file you want to import. Open CH*.PAC in hex editor and go to the EMD offset. I am using CH3.PAC so I am using EMD3. Go to the hex string 60 at the ids, there it will state in hex "00 60" or "01 60". From there you can see the YY Next to it.
NOTE! In SvR 06 there is no XXYY. ONLY YY. WHEN IMPORTING TO THE BOTTOM OF THE FILE, YOU NEED TO MOVE THE ID TO THE BOTTOM OF THE IDS LIST.
So, I will select the line of data from "00 60 YY YY" and I'll cut it, I will go to the bottom of the ids and click Ctrl + V to paste it. Now I go to his offset of PAC File. 4000. I will select all of it and cut it.
ANOTHER NOTE! In SvR06 you have to know that the offset of the pac file is where the id is placed in the ids list for the Superstar. For example, Batista's ID is "00 60" with 00 being attire id. The offset is 4000 because it is the first valid offset that goes with the first Id. Moving His ID to the bottom of the ids list, it will then move the offset of the pac file you need to import to! SO MAKE SURE YOU CUT THE PAC FILE AT 4000 up to the next pac.
Open your new pac file and copy it. Go to a valid offset at the bottom of CH3.PAC, paste it.. Now you need to calculate the YY. Select the whole pac file except for the loose 00 bytes at the end of it! MAKE SURE OF IT. Then go into a hex calculator and calculate
Size/100+1. Say I got 44A1 for an example. I will go to his offset and write A144 as his YY. In PSP versions there is an arc file called PACHD.arc. You need to do the same ID editing to the bottom as you did in CH3.PAC. Save both files. Rebuild the ISO with the edited files.
You are done! You have successfully imported into SvR06 without size restriction problems. You can then do the same to import attire ids 01 02 etc.
THIRD NOTE! Newer models will probably most likely not work in game. I haven't got a fix to that yet. But I will look into it.
If this was confusing and you want a video tutorial. Request it and I'll make it. If any doubts or confusions. Ask me a question here or on PM.
Thanks guys,
Tom
