Seems like there are several roms accidentally left there.
To install, i just made a copy of a P64 2.1 folder, renamed it Project64 2.1 Indy Forever then i did this :
-moved
WWF No Mercy .fla
WWF No Mercy.fla
WWF No Mercy.mpk
into my ...\Project64 2.1 Indy Forever\Save\
-moved
Project64.cht
into my ...\Project64 2.1 Indy Forever\Config\
-moved the texture folder named itself "WWF No Mercy" from
Forever Indy\Plugin\hires_texture
into my ...\Project64 2.1 Indy Forever\Plugin\GFX\hires_texture\
- i had already the mudlord rice plugin 6.1.4 installed in my
..\Project64 2.1 Indy Forever\Plugin\GFX\
So i guess if you don't have it, move the plugin there.
I had already the WWF No Mercy.z64 rom in my ...\Project64 2.1 Indy Forever\Rom\
So again don't forget to have the rom there too
I'm using the USA rom 1.0.
In case you're using the 1.1 version (the US rom with the save deletion bug fixed) or a PAL/Europe rom , that will not work.
Then started P64 from my ...\Project64 2.1 Indy Forever\
Changed the Rom path (File -> Choose Rom Directory) to point to ...\Project64 2.1 Indy Forever\Rom\
So it would use my ...\Project64 2.1 Indy Forever\ directory instead of the original P64 2.1 directory i have
Then in Options -> Settings, change the Video Graphic Plugin to Mudlord's Rice Video Build 6.1.4 (as by default it's Jabo 1.7 and this mod does not use this one)
Then in Options -> Configure Graphic Plugin , at the Texture Enhancement tab, make sure "Load Hi-res texture if available" is enabled
Finally, in the P64 main window, right click on the WWF No Mercy -> Edit Cheats, enable "Forever Indy" , close the cheat window and start P64, the mod should work ok.
Now for the mod, i don't know half of the roster and considering there are multiple attires by wrestlers it's really great to me for the novelty.
I decided to first go classic with my first sim with it and recreate the TNA Unbreakable 2005 that opposed Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe and AJ Styles for the TNA X Division Championship
Even if there was no 6 sided ring, the ROH one would be nice enough.
The match went on for 24 minutes (long because the No Mercy AI don't know it should throw or knock the 3rd guy out before attempting to pin/submit the one that is already on the ground , so their attempt at pin or submit is nearly always broken).
The most noticable thing is that only Christoper Daniels managed to use his special 2 times (the back one), neither Samoa Joe or AJ Styles managed to use a single one, always losing it due to wasted time after being distracted or thrown outside.
That and of course the AI wasting the majority of their pin attempt
There was a lot of cooperation between the 3 guys when they were both grappling the same opponent, like in this one
Overall it was very balanced between Joe and Daniels because poor AJ Styles really got them trying to destroy him non stop, and he was badly hurt since Daniels first finisher as he spent the rest of the match with a hand on his hurting neck.
That made the conclusion surprising because while Christopher Daniels was busy punching a downed Samoa Joe
AJ Styles that was waiting just kicked him from behind
And went for the pin while Samoa Joe wasn't yet finished to recover from the beating.
Funny that the end result was what happened in reality (Syles pinning Daniels), though it wasn't an opportunist victory but AJ Styles reversing Christopher Daniels' Angel Wing finisher into a pin
Very fun
