N64 Classic Mini Edition shall be announced soon + AKI Mods on the System

So, you probably heard that the n64 mini leaks have been released recently but there is no confirmation that it is real. anyways, the patent is REAL and everyone is waiting for Nintendo to make an official announcement. personally, i think we shall see something in a few months from now . they have to do something because Sony announced the Playstation 1 mini which is okay but for most people, they already know how to play ps1 games as it is easy to emulate. on top of that, if you jail break your playstation consoles, you can play ps1 games at ease including other non sony systems.

anyways, since the n64 mini is coming out, i am pretty sure AKI games will not be on it. With that being said, since there is a history of Nintendo MINI consoles getting hacked, will you be one of those to hack your system and try out the AKI games? if so, will you support AKI mods? It is very interesting to talk about this.

ps:  i think the mods should open a n64 mini classic section so we can try them out and post review / tips. i would love to try out the mods on the n64 classic and trying VPW 2 with the English Translation pack assuming the console (if released) gets hacked / modified / jailbroken

I'd experiment with it, specially because I messed around with Raspberry Pi 3 before (and from what I remember, the emulators from those hacked minis, are based on Raspberry Pi emulation systems? Not 100% sure.) but it's usually really expensive here so I can't guarantee anything lol, but definitely looking forward to new ways of enjoying those mods, if you look on youtube you can already find some (mostly stolen) mods for Android emulators. I might do the thing about the section, but there needs to be more interest in the idea.

You might as open it up once it gets announced. I will make an commit to buy one ASAP and i will do that by pre ordering it. I will not have a problem in terms of jail breaking it extend the library. I just would not know how to do mods or patch games but that is why we have forums like this one.

my assumption is that if we are able to run roms, it will only be rom hacks or patches. i doubt that we will be to use high texture packs or anything else. we shall see.

Not too sure where you live but it could be 100 dollars. That is lot of money but if you are working, you should be able to afford. of course, always buy stuff when you have the money. having credit card debt is pure evil - it is a trap.

If you can hack it and it is in high resolution with all the games then it is worth getting for the AKI games alone.

It will be in HD because that is whole point in Nintendo releasing these games. Not sure what games they will release but anything is possible. They say RARE games are impossible but they can bypass ANYTHING.

The question for us to hack will be for the devs who like to mess around with the software and hardware side of things. i know the NES and SNES were hacked to play games but i did not pay attention to it because i just had no interest in it.

Once i have the N64 Classic Mini is in my hands, i will subscribe to the N64 hacking forums and what not so i can share the info with the modders we have here. i am sure they will the same information as myself if they do basic internet research.

either way, AKI wrestling games in HD without PC emulation played straight off the official n64 classic will be insane. let's hope we can run rom hacks (I want Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 in English) and perhaps mods.
