Dolph Ziggler's concussion is worse than previously reported.
Ziggler was injured during the Superstars taping which took place before Old School Raw. He was due to be featured on Raw somehow, but his segment was taken off to allow him to rest.
Ziggler was examined by the WWE's own concussion specialist, Dr. Amann, immediately after his match. Amann told a WWE.com reporter that Ziggler had a concussion but it was minor. However, he would be out of action until IMPACT testing deemed it was safe for him to return. (IMPACT testing is a new system that determines the risk of serious head or brain injury).
That was before he was sent to a neuropsychologist in Pittsburg at Amann's suggestion. He is to be checked out daily until the visit later this week. Even though Amann said that the injury was minor, this step proves that there is serious cause for concern. This was not just because Ziggler had a more serious concussion less than a year ago.
In 2013, Ziggler famously suffered a major concussion after being hit with a stiff kick by Alberto Del Rio. Ziggler lost an entire day from his memory and was not allowed to return to the ring for 2 months. On this occasion, he was hit by a very stiff clothesline from Ryback.
Strangely, there is a lot of heat on Ryback for injuring Ziggler. WWE Officials have noticed that Ryback has become sloppier in the ring, and puts opponents at risk of injury. This is strange because Alberto Del Rio has the same reputation for injuring opponents, especially causing concussions through stiff kicks. But there is no heat on Del Rio for this reason.
For what it is worth, Ryback has taken full responsibility for injuring Ziggler. He has apologised and is expecting to receive disciplinary action. There is no word yet on if this will happen.

Ryback is often compared to Goldberg, but he may soon have one other thing in common.
Goldberg also ended the career of a popular 2-time World Champion due to his clumsiness. A stiff strike gave Bret Hart a very serious concussion during a TV match too.
