As previously reported, Nelson Frazer, Jr. (also known as Big Daddy V, Viscera and Mabel in WWE) passed away this week following a "massive heart attack". When TMZ reported the story, they included the following phrase:
<blockquote class='quote\\_blockquote'><dl><dt>TMZ's insensitive comment</dt><dd> </dd></dl><div>
Obviously, the weight loss came too late … or it was too much too quickly. R.I.P.

Frazer's widow Cassandra admitted that he had received a strong warning from his doctor 6 months ago. His doctor said that his blood pressure was too high and he needed to get it lowered quickly. Since then, Frazer reportedly lost 100lbs through a change in diet and exercise. Frazer was released from the WWE in 2008 for not taking his health issues seriously. Wellness Policy testing determined that Frazer needed to lose weight for the sake of his health. Frazer was reluctant because he felt losing body mass could affect his marketability. However, his health risks back then were not nearly as serious as they were in the past year.
TMZ have since claimed that the "reporter" has since apologised for the comment, but neither he nor TMZ have actually put the apology online. Then again, TMZ are hardly known for their sensitivity towards wrestlers unless they are Hollywood celebrities too.
Many websites initially reported Frazer's death as "rumored" until the WWE confirmed it. This was a reaction to reports of Mae Young's death earlier this year. Young was incorrectly declared dead by dozens of websites after she was taken off life-support. Young would continue to survive for another week before passing away.
It is also interesting to note that Stephanie McMahon was not the first WWE personality to mention Frazer's death. Superstars were upset with management asking them to wait until the WWE website officially announced the deaths of Young and Maurice "Mad Dog" Vachon before mentioning them on social media accounts. In both cases, Stephanie McMahon would officially announce the deaths on her own Twitter account before the WWE website did.
There is a rumour that Vince McMahon himself heard from a superstar who contacted him to see if the reports are true.
