While it was THQ's call to feature Randy Savage in the WWE All-Stars video game, WWE has to approve of any character they want in the game. The video game company approached Savage on their own, as well as Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior, and had Vince McMahon approve all three character proposals.

As the game's promotional tagline "Two Generations. One Ring." implies, the game features current and former WWE Superstar competing in fast-paced wrestling matches.

Yes I'm also digging the Joystick/Gamepads and they can used to play MVC3 and Super Street Fighter 4 so you got 1 pad or joystick 4 3 fighting games.

Actually its a well recieved roster or young vs old. Im glad to see savage and steamboat in for being a huge fan of them. Its something im looking forward to playing. Now, I want to know match types.

as far as the roster is concerned,
it is good, but far from being 'the best roster ever' as advertised.
in my opinion showdown:legends roster was much better,
even legends of wrestlemania roster was better.

I still enjoy the game today, i just wish the PS2 version less problematic. I dont know if anyone else knows this, but the original Xbox version of Showdown was a whole lot less glitchy game, so much so it seemed to play as a diff game, to bad it isn't backward compatible with the 360
