Quote:

Arda Ocal posted the second part of his video interview with “Rowdy†Roddy Piper. Here are a few highlights.
Piper’s son, Colt Toombs, talks about picking MMA over professional wrestling: “Pro wrestling was my first love and it was what I watched growing up with him, but as soon as I could walk, he’s (Piper) has had me in martial arts. After high school, I had the opportunity to train some MMA and I had a couple of amateur fights. I really loved it and I just kept going with it. Due to the martial arts that he put me in, I was kind of good at it and it kind of just fell into place.â€
Toombs on a possible move over to professional wrestling: “I’ve watched it growing up. I absolutely love it and I would definitely give it a try. I just haven’t quite gotten there yet.â€
Piper on how he’d react if his son wanted to try out professional wrestling: “Do I train him or do I let him go and get trained on his own? I don’t know the answer to that. I’m not going to lead him astray and say ‘you’re doing great’ when really you should go get a job. You can be a good MMA guy and a lousy wrestler. There is something that’s got to come out of you special. That scares me (training Toombs).â€
Piper on one last match: “I want one more fight for my career. I thought I would just fight the champion. I could get in shape one more time for one more good one. But doing a tag team, his (Toombs) first fight and my last, I’d consider that.â€[/quote]
