Wrestling Championships and Accomplishments Facts.
1.To date, none of the WWE Champions have been black. The closest is the Rock, who is mixed race.
2.The WWE recognises Bob Backlund’s first reign as WWE Champion as having lasted 1,771 days (almost 5 years). However, he lost the title twice during this time period.
3.Since the WWE Championship was first introduced on April 29th, 1963, there has been a total of 241 days (roughly 8 months) when there was no official champion.
4.Rey Mysterio holds the records for being the shortest and lightest person to have held the WWE and WWE World Championships.
5.Only two WWF European Champions actually came from outside of North America. These were English-men British Bulldog and William Regal.
6.While multiple Mexicans have won the WWE Championship, Alberto Del Rio was the only one to have actually been born in Mexico.
7.Randy Savage once simply forgot to go to the ring when his number was called during a Royal Rumble.
8.During 2002, Maven eliminated Undertaker from the Royal Rumble. Undertaker then proceeded to give Maven a violent beat-down which spilled into the concession area. The script called for Undertaker to attack Maven because of the NEAR-elimination. The top rope was not as tight as Undertaker was expecting, which meant that it could not support his weight as well as he thought it would.
9.Kurt Angle got squashed by the debuting Tazz in the first WWE pay-per-view match in 2000. In the last pay-per-view main-event match of 2000, he successfully defended the WWF Championship against Undertaker, Triple H, Rock and Steve Austin (and Rikishi) in the Hell In A Cell.
10.Abyss, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle and Matt Morgan have each held tag team championships in TNA Wrestling as the sole title holder.

24.The WWE insists that the Fabulous Moolah’s first run as WWE Women’s Champion lasted 10,170 days (around 27 years). But for this to be true, they have to ignore all title changes prior to 1983. Although, her first reign lasted exactly 10 years.
25.The “Original Screwjob” occurred on November 25th 1985. The “Spider Lady” was declared the new WWF Women’s Champion after the referee counted previous champion Wendi Richter’s shoulders to the mat. Richter clearly kicked out at 1, but the referee insisted that the Spider Lady (Fabulous Moolah) had won.

57. When Hulk Hogan won his first WWE Championship in 1984, he became the second (Official) champion who did not use a submission hold as a primary finisher. Stan Stasiak used the Heart Punch.

I'd like to add something. For 31, CM Punk, Big Show, AND Kane have won the WWE, World, and ECW championships. Kane won the WWE in 1998(his reign lasted for a day), the World in 2010, and the ECW in 2008.

Chris Jericho never won the WCW Championship, well in WCW that is.

I did think very carefully about that. Even though WCW ended in March 2001, the WWE continued using it as a valid title until December 2001. So if Jericho is officially a WCW champion, it counts.

However, the current world title is not a continuation of the NWA or WCW world titles.

Yeah, that one is a line that is kinda blurred. Personally, you could go either way with it.

Me, though, I don't count it, being as WCW wasn't even in existence then. If the company isn't around, that title doesn't count. Just like how I disregard any of the WWECW title reigns. Rhyno is still the last champ.

I know Vince had a plan to use the WCW brand, but that was thrown out quite awhile before Jericho won it.

I also do not count Rock as a WCW champ. :)

Still love this thread, though.
