According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AJ Styles was offered the chance to go to WWE recently, but was offered only around 20% of his current salary with TNA to make the switch.

With Styles currently on a short term contract that will see him working for the group till the end of the year at least, WWE saw the opportunity to make an overture to Styles, but were only willing to pay a fraction of the money he currently makes in TNA.
