Hi there I'm new here for my second post on this site i give you all this tutorial on how to extract the textures and create your own mods for AKI Wrestling games on Android mainly WWF No Mercy.
I've seen countless tutorials on youtube on how to mod WWF No Mercy on Android but no tutorial on creating your own mods and extracting the textures on Android
First off the emulator I recommend downloading is Mupen64plusAE mainly this version https://m.apksum.com/app/mupen64-plus-ae-v3-alpha/org.mupen64plusae.v3.alpha unlike most versions this one allows you to add in custom cheats and also download the rom from www.freeroms.com because the other sites where you can download the roms from seems to not work for some reason and then create a texture_dump file using ZArchiver or ES File Explorer
2.) Pick a AKI Wrestling game that you want to extract textures from, launch the game using Rice video plugin. Wait for it to load then close Mupen64plusAE
3.) Open ZArchiver or ES File Explorer and swipe right to the directory. Find mupen64plusae-v3-alpha > GameData > GAMETITLE > CoreConfig > mupen64plus.cfg
4.). Scroll down to [Rice-Video] and find:
# Enable texture dumping
DumpTexturesToFiles = False
Change False to True, then save and close ES File Explorer.
5.). Open Mupen64plusAE, load the game with Rice again. (ensure High resolution textures is enabled)
Play for a bit to collect textures, then exit Mupen64plusAE.
Some games may not display anything on screen with Rice video, but the textures will still be dumped if the rom is loaded.
6.) Open ZArchiver or ES file explorer > mupen64plusae-v3-alpha > CoreConfig > UserData > mupen64plus > texture_dump.
7.) There are 5 texture folders:
ci_bmp
ci_bmp_with_pal_crc
ci_by_png
png_all
png_by_rgb_a
The 2 main texture folders to edit are:
ci_by_png
png_all
For creating your own mods simply download a photoshop app like PicsArt which I highly recommend using then use the Showdown 64 creator's kit that has all of the template stuff you need and once you're done creating the new texture convert the file into png using a jpg to png file converter app then as you're done simply copy and paste the new texture you created and converted into png into your hires_texture folder from here go to the texture_dump folder and copy and paste the file name into the new texture you just created and then poof you're done.
This also works with WWF Wrestlemania 2000 and WCW/NWO Revenge but not Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 for some strange reason
