The WWE website has just confirmed that Emma has been released.

Emma was late for Raw on Monday night due to her arrest. She had been caught stealing an i-Phone cover from a store. She has already been in court, but there are conflicting reports about the end result. Her lawyer claimed that she had problems with using the automatic check out, and left with the case by accident. The police were called as soon as she left the store and she was caught quickly thereafter.

This comes at a particularly bad time for WWE. The company will be doing a tour of Australia soon. Emma was the company's first diva from the country, and the only Australian person on the roster for 10 years. Emma had been heavily advertised for the tour and she had just came back from doing promotional work there.

Emma is the second non-American Diva to be released in recent weeks, however Aksana was released due to budget cuts.

Santino Marella recently said that he was trying to look for a non-wrestling role on television. He claimed that he is much older than most current superstars and he feels that the WWE schedule is getting too much for his body to take. But he is not willing to give up the character right now. With Emma being gone, this ends Santino's present story line, so it may make an easier transition for him.

Internet fans have already pointed out the irony that Emma was released because of her arrest. Meanwhile, several other superstars remain with the company after DUI and even DWI arrests.

Note: The WWE has already re-instated Emma. No word yet on whther or not a different punishment will be used instead.

In Booker T's defense, he robbed that place when he was 16, long before he worked for WWE.

A better example would be one of these other diva's (I can't remember which one) still being with he company after a DUI, that's a hell of a lot more serious.

It doesn't matter when it happened, WWE hired someone knowing they had a criminal history.

It was Cameron. Also she tried to pay off the officer while getting arrested, which is really stupid.

So? His criminal history is just that. History. He committed those crimes around the same age Roddy Piper got his criminal history stripes. When they were juveniles.

My point was instead of comparing someone's past when they were not with the company; instead, compare it to someone who broke the law while they were with the company like Cameron. When someone breaks the law and they are a WWE public figure, it's completely different.

If the WWE stopped hiring people based on their criminal history we'd be out a LOT of legends.

Yes it does.

When you're young, poor and in a rough jobless nieghorhood,
If you don't do something that gets you food in your stomach chances are no one will give you a handout, because chances are they have only a litte themselves,
When people are young (stupid), thinking robbing from stores doesnt hurt anyone directly is a way to common idea.

But sure, lets imagine he did not deserve to have a highly talented career, due to a mistake that he already spent his freedom for.
