So I figured that I need to go in-depth with my current modding issues, to see if that could possibly get someone to lend a hand. That and because I need to refrain from turning my Wii Mods Showcase thread into a "Please Help Me" type of deal.
First off, this is not texture modding in Dolphin. This is directly editing the ISO and then playing it on my Wii via USB Loader. The reason for this is because 1. My PC can't handle Dolphin and 2. I prefer playing it with the Gamecube Controller.
So the procedure is pretty straight forward, open bg.pac, and extract all. then I look for the pac of the arena I want to edit (in this case 29.pac, which is Smackdown '99), open that and then uncompress C8.pac. then I extract the tpls of the parts of the arena I want to mod, convert then to png, and work my magic in Photoshop. then I convert then back to TPLs, using gxtexconv (because it's the only program that will convert it to the same filesize as the original. BrawlBox adds an extra 0.03 kbs, CTools TPL Editor tends to corrupt the image when saving in CMPR format, and TplMii cannot save to CMPR format at all), and inject them into C8.pac, Inject C8.pac into 29.pac, inject 29.pac into bg.pac, update the arc files and then inject it into the WWE '13 ISO with Wiiscrubber.
However by doing this, when loading up the arena in game for a match, once you select "Start Match", the game will immediately freeze as soon as the loading screen appears. And not only that, but when trying to use other arenas, the game will go on an infinite loading loop, never leaving the loading screen.
Looking back at the file, I noticed that the original bpe file was half the size of the uncompressed pac. I do believe this is the main issue but there is also the fact that it is not in bpe format (probably not a glaring issue, but i'm mentioning it just in case)
Either way it seems that the modded C8.pac has to be the same size as the original was. Unfortunately, I wouldn't know how to do that. That being said, is there a way of compressing the c8.pac file?
