There's been a rumor going around the internet that WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix is being considered for a role as Wonder Woman in the future Wonder Woman movie to be released. When the rumor was brought up by a fan on Beth's Twitter account, she replied with just a "#wonderGlam."

Agreed! I think Beth would own in wonder woman...

I honestly thought my eyes deceived me when I the topic. I thought it said "Beth Pheonix considers playboy" lol... Wishful thinking.. ^o)

I don't know how many of you are familiar with Wonder Woman.

Basically, she comes from an island of amazonian women with no men. But the women tend to live for hundreds of years, and there has never been any violence or illness, so population number remains consistent. Then after a male pilot crashes on their island, they hold a series of athletic games, with the winner being allowed to escort the pilot back to America.

Phoenix will likely only be in the early scenes as an additional amazonian woman.

Sadly, the producers made a very bad choice in who they got to play Wonder Woman.

Actually, Diane is different, her mother made her from clay in the ground and some of Zeus's spunk. No joke. Realizing that the world around them was changing, she was sent into man's world as a goodwill ambassador for the Amazonian people.

The series of games was actually the "Trial of Gods" done by the immortal team of Perez and Weiz in the mid 80's. Some of the best comics ever. Basically, Zeus wanted to bang Wonder Woman (even though she was his daughter, gotta them old school gods) and she had to face these trials or death by God love.

She prevailed, of course, and killed a lot of shit on her way. She kills shit all the time. The new series is being written by the same guy that wrote "Y: The Last Man", who's name I'm not even going to attempted to spell it. Brian something. Starts with an "A". I only have the first three issues.

She kills a lot of shit in it, too. She's just bad-ass all around. She could take almost any Marvel character.
