I just got back from my first bikram yoga class and i feel reborn. you should all try it, it's yoga but it's definitely not your typical pansy ass yoga (although it's not lacking in hot female bodies)
See, first of all the room is heated to 105 degrees. Second of all, it was invented by a man. Third of all, the man who invented it did so after a knee injury, doctors told him he would never walk.
6 months later, the man walked.
Also because you are exposing your body to heat for 90 minutes in a workout you are basically encouraging the heat to kill off any potential risk for illness in your body, kinda like when you get sick so your body gets a fever to fight it off.... This I am actually not sure about, as I am no scientist. But it makes sense.
I've been lifting weight and doing pushups and shit for years alright... But I've never gotten results like Yoga. I know some men will never do it , because it's perceived as a feminine or a passive form of exercise.
But it isn't passive at all. Infact it's a full body workout. A good class consists of movements that engage every muscle and muscle group in your body.
Did I mention the classes aren't lacking in beautiful female bodies?
But seriously, that can only be seen as a good thing, and when taken into consideration it actually.... works.
Do you remember DDP or Diamond Dallas Page? He was pretty badass, and a man's man, right? A worthy Heavyweight champion, yes?
HE DOES YOGA! Not only that he owns a yoga studio in California. He only tried it because his wife forced him into it, and he ended up loving it more than she did.
Also you reach a really good natural high, not that a little bit of tokage doesn't improve a session. you guys should check it out, I also hear that highly esteemed Yogis are capable of such things as astral projection.... But that's a whole nother story. ;D
