British wrestling legend Mick McManus has passed away.

McManus is considered one of the greatest villains in British wrestling, commonly facing some of the biggest names in Europe and USA in a 20 year career. It is also believed that McManus had made more television appearances than any other UK wrestler during that time period.

McManus slipped into a coma last week, and passed away at 1am on Wednesday morning. He was 93.

The UK television show 'WrestleTalk TV' will be dedicating the entire episode to him. The hosting network has even supplied some material so that the show can make a larger tribute.

McManus was one of four British wrestlers who had an honourary appearance in the Acclaim video game 'Legends Of Wrestling 2'. He appeared as an exclusive playable character in PAL versions of the game, alongside 'Big Daddy' Shirley Crabtree, Kendo Nagasaki and Giant Haystacks.

Aw, that's a shame. True great - my grandfather knew him in real life and apparently he was a really genuine guy.
