Trying to make my CAWs APPEAR in game. Either by changing the red glow (CAW select halo) to green or making the game think they're Superstars instead of CAW

I'd rather not go the route of creating new Wrestler IDs

I thought this may be my answer : http://s4.zetaboards.com/Old_Skool_Reunion?topic=8682076/1/#new
but I'm not sure exactly how to make it work. Do I need a CAW slot addy and an activator? If so how do I go about finding it?

I've only experimented with a few hacks, like move splicing and replacements around 6 years ago.

Any point in the right direction would be helpful.

UPDATE: I figured out the code in the link this way.

811502c6 XXXX- Wrestler ID
811502c6 ?

?= 0100 Superstar, 0200 CAW

Doesn't fix the glow color issue. Only makes the specified wrestler "Unable to Edit"

I thought I saw a code or topic on changing the glow color years ago, but couldn't find one.

I don't know if this is what you want, but here's a code that will change the red glow to green on the Superstar Select Screen. Doesn't work in Smackdown Mall.

No worries. I can also make it disappear, change colour and remove other bits too such as the menu glow. That type box can disappear as well. I can get I'd of the L and R on the stables without it having to effect the ones on the menu. If you need other codes then let me know.

I noticed a strange effect with your code. It repeats textures where that don't belong.

Examples: Testing with default characters without textures I found myself on Earl Hebner but I noticed he had JRs face and front hair. I went to JR to compare and was right. So I changed his attire and went back and it fixed itself. Then the opposite happened soon after, JR had Hebners face and front hair.

So I looked around at a few others and Road Doggs upper arm was missing the elbow pad and tattoos. Again fixed when you change attires.

There shouldn't be issues as it just affects the glow. It shouldn't do that at all. You sure it's not another code conflicting with the textures?

Try the code without the last 2 lines.

It's the only code I have on. It still happens without the last 2 lines. I'm running on PJ64 1.6

Another thing it changes is the SmackDown Mall selection "exploding particle" effect. It now just zooms the text. (Which I think is pretty cool)

I'll check it out on PJ64 2.1

Tested: It works fine in 2.1.
