As previously reported, the TNA Television Championship will be defended on the show. But this time, fans will be allowed to choose Devon's opponent. Each of the 4 possible options will be revealed next week, Monday-Thursday, on the Impact website. Expect two of the choices to be Robbie E and Robbie T.

Also, TNA will be reviving the Gutcheck. These matches normally feature unsigned wrestlers, or signed wrestlers that have not received a recent push. The winner of this match may be offered a new TNA contract, or will be given more opportunities on Impact. Joey Ryan has already been confirmed for the match. Ryan appeared on a recent edition of Impact, and his name trendeding on Twitter as much as 2 days later.

The success of the Gutcheck (regardless of the actual result) will determine how frequently we will see Gutchecks in the future.

Well, it's supposed to be defended on TV... so I think it's fine. Though the fact that Devon's moveset confuses me. I don't get the psychology/objectives of his moves very so often.

Me either.

The whole point of his gimmick right now is that he is adjusting to being on his own (i.e. not part of a tag team). Normally he would just wear down the opponent and then rely on Ray using the really big power moves to finish the match. But Devon appears to be be using the same strategy now.

The issue with Devon is he's now the big strong guy, he has gain both weight and muscle mass. I just don't get him using flying reverse elbow on an X division star like Robbie E, when a simple Clothesline would do better, and made more sense.

Not to say that his matches are terrible, but being a guy that nitpicks, I find myself trying to find reasons WHY he did those moves. So yes, spot fest matches like AAA matches, confuse the poopyness out of me, but eh, it's fun to watch.
