MOS:2 and justice league to shoot back to back!
With the gestating Batman vs. Superman bringing on Gal Gadot as female superhero Wonder Woman, joining Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman, we know there's going to be a handful of superheroes in Zack Snyder's comic book sequel. There's even been rumors of The Flash and Green Lantern popping up at some point, and now we might have a more immediate reason for cramming in all these heroes. Latino Review is reporting that Warner Bros. wants to follow-up Batman vs. Superman with Justice League, and supposedly the studio wants to move very quickly by shooting the films back-to-back.
That would explain why casting all these extra superheroes now is necessary, and just might mean that all of them won't have significant parts, likely only appearing at the end of the film or in some sort of credits tease. The reason behind this scheduling proposal also brings another bit of recent news into play. Dwayne Johnson has met with Warner Bros. to work on an unknown DC Comics property (as the actor confirmed himself), and apparently Justice League just might be that project. This back-to-back schedule would make sense since Johnson said he would be working on this DC project in 2014.
Otherwise, there are two big reasons to shoot the films back-to-back. First of all, Warner Bros. wants to maximize the schedules of their more busy talents like Ben Affleck (who also has a successful career directing), Henry Cavill (who is in demand for other work) and Johnson (who can't seem to stop working). In addition, Batman vs. Superman is said to end with an "insane cliffhanger" and also a teaser that will lead right into Justice League, and the studio wants to deliver the follow-up within a year to keep the excitement going. It doesn't necessarily shake things up against Marvel, but it's certainly a bold move.

In late 2013, it was rumored that Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa would be playing a major role in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie, however those claims were denied by the actor himself this past week. But despite his denial about being involved in the film, rumors about who the actor will play are still swirling.
The latest rumor comes from Badass Digest’s Devin Faraci, who writes that a source informs him Momoa’s denials may be a smokescreen to cover the fact he’s actually going to be playing Aquaman in the upcoming film.
I was recently told by a very, very trusted source that the role Jason Momoa was up for (but is currently denying) is definitely Aquaman, but it’s essentially a cameo setting up the next movie.
We won’t know the extent of Momoa’s involvement, assuming there is any, until closer to production. But with the film slated to start shooting soon, answers are no doubt coming. The Aquaman role was rumored as being in play for Lost star Josh Holloway yesterday, but the chances that Momoa could be the frontrunner are heavily supported by Badass Digest’s latest report.
man of steel 2 pushed to 2016:
Originally scheduled to begin filming in February, the start of production was apparently delayed to the second quarter of 2014 for an unspecified reason. Batman vs. Superman's July 2015 release date will now be occupied by Joe Wright's live-action Peter Pan film. In a statement, Warner Bros. president of domestic distribution Dan Fellman said, “We are happy to take advantage of these coveted summer dates, which are perfect for two of our biggest tentpole releases. We share the fans’ excitement to see DC Comics’ most popular figures, Superman and Batman, together on the big screen for the first time, which will now be arriving in theatres in May 2016.
Lex luthur joins justice league in dc comics:
DC continues the shake-up in comics, with Lex Luthor set to join the Justice League, following their latest comic book event, Forever Evil.
Geoff Johns, who currently writes the flagship DC book, warned fans that huge changes would be coming following the event, but no one could have guessed that Luthor would have made it onto the team.
Johns told AP: “I think the most interesting thing is that Lex doesn't realise what it's like to be a superhero, what the life is like.
“You make enemies, they attack you on a personal level. And he's just Lex Luthor. He has no codename, no mask.“
"He has to deal with the ramifications of that."
The bizarre turn of the once major villain begins in April with Justice League #30, but fans might be in for an extra surprise, with Luthor possibly leading the team.
“The Justice League is going to go through a lot of changes, obviously, in the wake of Forever Evil," Johns explained.
“Is he going to lead the Justice League? It depends on whom you ask on the team. Certainly, he thinks he should.â€
The cover of the issue also reveals that Superman, Flash, and Green Lantern - three main characters that helped to form the team - are missing.
But the change in characters could be to do with the build-up for Man of Steel 2, due for release in 2015.
There have been various discussions around the inclusion on Lex Luthor in the film, and the fact he could be played by Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston.
It also has an ever growing cast, including Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and possible cameos from Aquaman, Green Lantern, Flash and Martian Manhunter, leading to speculation that a Justice League film will follow.
The shake-up follows other turns at DC, including the unmasking of Dick Grayson as Nightwing and the launch of a second Aquaman series, something that would have been laughable a few years ago
is that the same fate of man of steel 2 ending???
