The mysterious owner of the Cranky Vince Twitter account may have given away his identity.
The Cranky Vince account started as a parody mocking Vince McMahon's real Twitter account. However, it had WWE officials concerned as the account made reference to genuine conversations that McMahon had in private. The tweets were so spookily accurate that people even people close to Vince, including Stephanie McMahon herself, though Vince had secretly set up the account. But Vince was ruled out as a suspect when the account implied that Vince was still a heavy drug user.
WWE Officials suspected that someone within the company was behind the account. The poster would share confidential information and plans, sometimes just minutes after Vince had discussed it in real life. So there was a theory that someone very close to Vince running the account. On Monday, Cranky Vince tweeted that he was excited for Raw.
Within the same minute, JBL posted the exact same thing, letter for letter.
This is not the first time that JBL and Cranky Vince has posted the exact same thing. In almost every instance, Cranky Vince made the comment first, and then deleted it after JBL posted it. JBL has openly denied being behind the account, and has started blocking anyone who asks. Similarly, the Cranky Vince account has started blocking people who ask if he is JBL too. JBL retweeted on post that pointed out that one person used an iPhone, while another used a computer. It is known that JBL was already at the commentary desk when he made Monday's tweet, where he normally works with a laptop computer in front of him!
For what it is worth, JBL was always a top suspect, with several industry insiders convinced that it was indeed him.
