Doug Furnas passed away this morning, he had been sick for awhile. Details are forth coming.

The word from Knoxville, Tennessee is he was battling Parkinson's disease at the time of his death. In addition to runs in WWF and ECW, Furnas wrestled in Japan and Mexico during the early 1990s.

WWE announcer Jim Ross commented on Twitter Saturday, "Sad to hear of the death of fellow Oklahoman Doug Furnas. Doug was a powerhouse, amazing drop kick, & damn good man. A sad day. RIP friend."[/quote]
Sad indeed. I remember watching him back in the day, a solid performer with good ring skills and great heart. Condolences to his loved ones. Rest in peace...
