Dixie Carter had been teasing the "return" of a former World Champion for this week's Impact. But the person in question has never held a major wrestling title.
The "Former World Champion" is Adam 'Pacman' Jones. Jones is an NFL Football player with the Cincinnati Bengals. He previously appeared in TNA in 2008 during his suspension from NFL. At the time, his NFL contract forbid him from performing or letting anyone else perform any kind of wrestling move to him. Either way, he still won the TNA Tag Team Championship with Ron Killings (R-Truth). He has had only 2 matches.
There are no details yet of his current arrangement. But TNA fans should feel let down by this surprise.
