Games that disappointed you

As for the TV show topic, share your thoughts about games that disappointed you.

Mine would be :

Oblivion and Skyrim : Morrowind was a game i really enjoyed when i was 12 but Oblivion and Skyrim, well i just couldn't get into it and easily got bored.

GTA IV : San Andreas had an aweful ambiance but incredible possibilities about customizations, variety of vehicles. GTA IV is beautiful but took away most of the fun.

WWE 12/13 : I played the wii version and just didn't see any real improvement since 2011. I know you won't agree on that but that's my opinion.

Saints Row 3 : The 2 was awesome, fun in a real world, the 4 was decent, fun in a crazy world, the 3 was in the middle of it and that didn't work well for me.

Games i really loved lately : Tomb Raider was a successful reboot, Witcher 1&2 are awesome, Arkham Asylum and City.

Rambo on NES will forever remain my biggest gripe in videogames. It was the first game I ever rented as a kid, and I had to play that piece of shit all weekend.

Mine's:

Zelda - Only one I don't remember the name I liked,90% is boring,and I find the series overrated.
Mortal Kombat Trilogy for N64 - Shitty Port.That's all.
Skyrim - Played the beggining,quite boring.
WCW Backstage Assault - Search for the game and play yourself.
Postal III - Did not meet the expectations that people have of a continuation of a Postal game.
Smackdown JBI - Every mode is too short and limited,it fucks up the replayability.

Superman for N64 - The game concept is so unfitting,they should do a free-to-play style of game based on him instead.

@ KWG: Superman Returns for Xbox and PS2 is the game you want, then. I have it and it isn't too bad, at all, tough it gets repetitive.

I should also mention Twisted Metal 3. Forget that game.

I forgot Assassin's Creed III.

The 1 installed the franchise, 2 and brotherhood were improving, revelationswas a step back with no gameplay improvement (who really used the hook ?) but the fact that ezio went on the traces of Altair felt like a good way to end it, like a circle completed.
Then came ACIII with a country that didn't interest me ('Murica !) with characters i didn't give a shit about and that ending :wall:

The boat didn't excite me in 3 so the 4th doesn't start with a good point for me but the pirates might bring more interesting characters and the environment seems beautiful so....wait and see.

 

[Tired]

M&M’s Mini Madness (aka Shell Shocked or Lost Formulas) – A really bad Crash Bandicoot rip-off. It has terrible graphic resolution and completely inaccurate depth perception.

WCW Backstage Assault – EA followed up the best ever WCW video game (Mayhem) with this train wreck. A wrestling game with no wrestling ring? The game was terrible slow and most of the characters were essentially the same.

The Simpsons’ Game – Fans had been waiting for ages for a true a Simpsons game. But what they got was a lengthy practical joke aimed at video game players.

Kensai: Sacred Fist – A Tekken 2 clone with no personality of its own. Characters Billy and Jelly are suited men with bird (parrot / penguin) heads. Just because.

Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games – The first ever legal game featuring SMB and STH characters was this needlessly hard disappointment.

Assassins Creed III- I was waiting for that game since they first announced it,was very hyped for it and actually went to buy the day it came out,only completed 3 missions and the game got boring as fuck,the whole concept of killing people that existed 500 years ago just didn't feel cool anymore,it was cool on the first and second installement of Asssassins creed but then i was like thats it this game fucking sucks.


WWE 13:I'll just put it in a simple way,that game was NO different (gameplay wise) from WWE'12,forget about that OMG moment crap cause i didn't even buy it,sure spearing your oponent through the barricade sounds fun but c'mon thats it? really? it just didn't feel cool,and to be honest the Attitude Era mode sucked,i only did DX,Rock and Wrestlemania stories and thats it,Would totally pic SVR 2011 over it.

Tekken tag team tournament 2: No different from Tekken 6,5,4,3,2 or 1 or even the first Tag Team tournament game,didn't like it at all,it only had like shitload of guys in it and thats pretty much it.

Saints Row IV: At first when Saints Row 2 came out i was so freaking pumped,played the game and it was amazing,i would totally pick that game over GTA IV because it had something different,and that gangster life style and all which felt amazing aswell,Flash forward to 2011 and the release of SR 3 which had a very weird twist,Aliens? REALLY? and freaking Robots? KILLING PEOPLE IN SPACE?! i was like fine sure whatever atleast its not the same thing from Saints row 2 (i guess they ran out of Gangster ideas lol),But Saints Row IV was just plain stupid,it was like a quick throw back from SR III and it felt like "whatever",the game sucked so bad i didn't even feel like finishing it,now its not working.

Call of Duty Black Ops 2: Repetetive crap, Boring story and same damn gameplay from perhaps EVERY SINGLE CALL OF DUTY TITLE,game was bad and i hope Ghosts doesn't feel like an old CoD title that went wrong.

GTA IV: Story was solid i'll admit it,but it gets repetitive as FUCK! most of the missions tells you to kill someone,or rob something,thats it,whilst GTA V's missions were really different and more intresting,was very dissapointed of the Cars control which i think was slow as a fucking boat and just sucked,good thing GTA V is out now.

Keep in mind these are my opinions and no hate guys,i just didn't feel these games for real.

Saint's Row 3: Saint's Row 2 was my favourite game of all time. I pumped 40 hours into my latest save. Plus the 10 hour screwing around save, and the 15 hour superhero (cheat) save, and the 4 other times I've completed story on other saves? It was incredible. The San Andreas sequel imo. Plus Saint's Row 1 was one of my favourites before it aged. Then SR3 was all Oh we have flying ships and over the top dildo bats and everything. It was a good game, but it wasn't Saint's Row.

Left 4 Dead 2: Everyone raved about it. I bought it a few weeks ago. It was shit.

M.A.G: Me and my bud bought it for his PS3 and there was like 4 people online.

APB: Promised to be a GTA MMO, and it had a fucked up learning curve and it was just overall broken. It was fun but I only played for like a week and then deleted it. We have GTA Online now and it's what APB should have been.

Oblivion: Everyone loves Elder Scrolls. I played it for the first few missions and loved it. It was so expansive. Shitty combat but passable. Discovered the beautiful world by walking for seemingly hours to complete the first few quests. Then realized I saved it on my sister's hard drive and had to do the walking again. It was fine, but a bit boring. Then my xbox got stolen. Tried to play it again, but I made it about half way through the walk and took out the game before I puked of boredom.

Maybe. But the Wii version of WWE '13 had the fewest bugs. My only criticism with it is that the whole DLC thing.

Thought about other games.

Borderlands : i loved the FPS cell shaded XIII so i thought it would be fun to try Borderlands but i don't know why i just didn't enjoy it.

Far Cry III : I loved that game from the beginning to the end but Vaas was just so good i put the game on the list for killing the character.

APB : I agree with Cal'lex i felt like playing an unfinished product and delted it after a few days, it was a waste of space on my HDD

For me, though, the biggest one would have to be Skyrim. Every single one of my nerd friends recommended it, when I actually played, it was boring as hell. Nothing really interesting about it, tbh. Which is, well, disappointing for all the 'hype' :/

I don't really play a lot more than wrestling, FPSs and sports titles, just whatever catches my eye, so haven't played a lot of the games you guys are talking 'bout, lol.

Syndicate and Red Alert 3 was a big disappointment for me.

Skyrim got awesome when I downloaded a bunch of mods and went apecrap crazy on them.
