There have been no end of Hulk Hogan stories over the last 35 years. But this is one that explains why we still pay attention to this guy.
Hogan appeared on BBC Radio One in the UK yesterday to promote the WWE's tour in the country. When the DJ suggested that chair shots look like they hurt, Hogan admitted that they do. He added that being hit in the head too often is the reason why he says "Brother" all of the time. He said that he no longer has any memory and cannot remember anybody's name. The DJ admitted that he hadn't watched wrestling since "the Dudley Boyz were big" and used to fantasize about being put through a table. Hulk said that he could help him out with that.
The highlight however, was a regular segment in which a celebrity guest helps a female caller out with a problem. Hogan sang his own version of the opening jingle. One line encourage women to phone him if they needed someone accompany them to the Spearmint Rhino (Britian's most famous stripper bar). The caller asked how do you avoid goosebumps when waxing your legs... and Hogan responded with genuinely good advice. He advised the woman to take a hot bath just before waxing, so that her body is the same temperature as the wax. He said that this will prevent goosebumps and reduces how much it stings. The woman asked if he actually waxed himself, and he said that he waxed his eyebrows and toes, and "everything in between, brother". The woman hung up rather quickly.
Today, the show revealed another Hogan story. When he arrived at the building, DJ Charlie Sloth asked Hogan for an autograph. But an assistant put his hand in Sloth's face and told him No because Hogan had barely got in the building and hasn't had a chance to breath yet. A second assistant told Sloth that he can go get Hogan and his crew some water instead. Sloth then claimed that he approached Hogan afterwards, and Hogan offered to take the photo with him. However, he did not attempt to prove that he had the photo.
